No work this a.m. back to bed until 730ish then got up to walk/shower, etc. Got on around 9 or 9:30.
I forgot to mention that while walking Friday, my Ipod gave out (needed to be charged) about halfway through my walk. I have to say, if it was not for the Ipod, I would probably not be walking. It was so boring. It's charged today and I don't know, guess it just makes the time go faster with music. would not want to walk w/out it!
Did not finish working until 8:30ish. Very frustrating day. Travis was at Ryan's most of the day and Patrick is not much help in watching Addison. It culminated in him screaming "I hate her, she is so annoying" right in front of her. Nice, Patrick.
It RAINED today...which we really needed. No swim lessons due to lightning, thunder, and rain.
Ty got pizza for dinner.

I just recorded a bunch...did not sit and watch anything.
Sunday evening we went to Abuelo's for dinner...yes it was good, but just too expensive for all of us to go. With a coupon, it was $80 with tip. That's ridiculous for a meal. Used to not be but things change.
ty and travis finished up with the chipper...goes back in the a.m.
Michael spent night w/ Patrick last night...
Travis spent night at Ryan's tonight.

HAPPY 93RD BIRTHDAY, GRANDPA MOODY!!
Ty and Travis were using the chipper in the way back yard to get rid of all the brush piles out there. Addison went back there and Travis called me to come get her. I walked out there and Ty's truck was out there and Addie and Patrick were in the truck. When I got to the truck, I noticed Patrick had a look of sheer terror on his face and was telling me not to open the door...apparently there were some wasps following me, buzzing around me. I stayed calm because all my life I have been told "don't bother them and they won't bother you." Ty saw what was going on and said they were following me and he took his straw hat and knocked one to the ground. I saw a couple of others. None got me. Not sure why they were following me or why they did not get me. Anyway, I got the truck open and Patrick ran for the house faster than he has ever run before. He was a basket case and REFUSED to stay out there and help. He's as afraid of wasps and bees as I am.
Saturday evening Ty took all 3 kids and Michael Seebock to the races. I went to Bosses Pizza again with Donna and then we came home and I cleaned up the den, entry, and hallway. What a mess. I took pictures because most won't believe it! :)
Grandpa said he is going to go to OshKosh with Keith this year. I'm so glad he had decided to go. I did not think he would because when Grandma was still alive, and they went for the last time, he used to say "this will be my last trip to OshKosh, ever."

Got up and ready for work, and there was none. Went back to bed until 8, still no work. Did not walk this morning because if I don't walk before 8, it's hot. and I'm a wimp! So, got up and got breakfast, straightened up in my office a little, and just about the time Addie got up, there was work. Never fails.
Stopped at lunch and took the kids to the new McDs on Rufe Snow again. Addison loves to play there. I've created a monster. Saw Mrs. Luppy and her Addison there.
Came home, worked the rest of the evening, cleaned on my office some more, gave addie a bath and conditioned her hair real well, and went to bed.

Worked and walked this a.m. Mom came by and got Addison again. They went to McDs again!
After work I went and got her. She had her last day of lessons this week. What an interesting lesson! Both boys went with me and got in with her. When we got there, the class before hers was finishing up and they were going off the diving board. She said she wanted to. I told her maybe next year. So, we are in the water in her lesson, and Travis has her, so I get out to get my camera. I walk over to the table and I hear "NO, don't jump." and I turn around and there is Addison on the diving board. My heart stopped. Travis swam over to the deep end so if she did jump he could get her. Once she was on the board, however, she changed her mind. She got back down and got back in the pool. But not 5 minutes later, she was back on the board and this time...this is what happened..
I was so incredibly proud of her (and scared for her) but she did it, again and again. Probably 10 times.

See, I'm the mother of boys who don't like swim lessons. Travis was a swim school dropout. and when I finally got him to go to the Hubenak's, he cried the entire time. It was torture for both of us. Then I started Patrick early, before he could talk, because I did not want to hear all the pleas. He was fine, until we got there the first day and all the other kids were crying, so then he started crying, and did not stop until the lessons were over 2 weeks later. It was hell on me! :)
So I have been dreading going through it again with her. But she is just full of surprises. My mother had to bribe me to jump off the diving board when I was in grade school. and then I jumped into the lifeguards arms. (I'm not a great swimmer). My boys cried all through lessons.
But these people are miracle workers.
Your child will swim with them. Sometimes it's tough to watch, but it's worth it in the end!!
Anyway...very proud of my girl. She never ceases to amaze me!

No wildlife this a.m. Ty had jury duty today, was home by noon.
Mom came by and got Addison for the afternoon. They went to the new McD's to play. Patrick went with them.
Addie had swim lessons...did all the same stuff as yesterday, plus got rings off the steps, swam out to me from the steps, and the last thing was floating on her back, which Cheryl and Gordon (teachers) had to do with her because she was clinging to me and I could not get her to do it. I'm such a woos. Im not the best one to be in the water with her because I'm too soft with her. But that was the only thing so far that has upset her. But by the end of class, they had her doing it. She did not like it, but did it.
Patrick had a soccer game. Ty had to take him, it was at same time as swimming. They lost, 12-1. He said his ankles were hurting when he got home and had me massage them. now he wants a massage every 10 minutes. He would probably LOVE to go to a spa. :)

Walked this a.m. I got to the very back of the yard, 2nd lap, and saw a turtle. I thought, where on earth did he come from and why didn't I see him on the first lap. Anyway, went in and got my camera and was going to take pic of him for my pic of the day, but when I got back, he was no where to be seen. I was shocked. Who says turtles don't move fast? I mean, he was GONE. I looked for him. but, just know that I could have had a picture of a turtle today. I think I will just start putting my camera in my pocket. I bought a memory card for it yesterday so I can get them on the computer easily now.
Swim lessons again today...She did good again today. She was jumping off the side into the water and swimming to me...and back. and climbing out of the pool. I'm really proud of her for doing so well. She does not cry...and trust me, the rest of the kids (babies) are crying all during class. Sometimes she focuses her attention on everything going on around her rather than paying attention to me and what I am trying to do with her.

Just another Monday...Walked this a.m. Nothing new...no wildlife today.
Addison started swim lessons today in a private home. She did really well! I was dreading it because with both boys, they cried the whole time and HATED it. She LOVED it! She did really good. She went under and then got some rings off the steps. I was soo proud of her!
Came home and went to grocery store...ended up taking Pat and Addison with me and by the time we got home and got everything unloaded and got to bed, it was 11. I was exhausted. It's so much easier to do the shopping solo!

Got up this a.m. and got ready for Joe T's with the fam...Happy Father's Day, DAD!
Ty got the kids ready and they went to meet Travis & Janet at the waterpark.
I went to Joe Ts and had brunch and met them out there later.
I had the usual, Migas. Love them! I did forget to take a picture but when I was done, took a picture of the plate that has their name on it, and then got pix of me and Dad and then all of us with and w/out Mom in the picture. Always a good time at Joe Ts.
So, went home, changed, and went to the water park for a few hours. It was good to see Janet and Travis again, and to meet their son, Sterling, and see Sharee again. She is 13 now and i would not have recognized her...although she looks just like her daddy!!
So, we left there, came home and after I showered, I put Addie down for a nap. I think I fell asleep first! And slept for quite awhile. Felt good.
Then we got up and met Janet and Travis for dinner at Chili's out by where they were staying.
oh, for Fathers day, we got Ty passes for the VIP tour of Cowboy Stadium. Should be a good time!

This morning I took Addison and Patrick and went to the bank, and then back to the Scrapbook Boutique - but only because I promised Patrick a snow cone at the place next door to it. When we pulled in the first thing I noticed was the "closed" sign on the snow cone place. Crap! Before I could even tell him it was closed, he sat up, looked out, and said "This place? This place stinks. I'm not eating a snow cone here (oh my, I've raised a snow cone snob). I have had them here before. It's like they take a block of ice and pour syrup over it. It stinks. I'm not eating one here. " I said "oh , thank goodness, because they are closed. Ok, let's go scrapbook shopping." He was TICKED. He could not beLIEVE I had the NERVE to still go there when he was not getting a snow cone. He "threatened" me by saying he was staying in the car. I said "ok, but it's really hot out here. When you get too hot, you can come into the air conditioning" and I went in.
I was probably only there for 10 minutes tops. He came in after the first minute. One minute after he came in, he said "Are you done yet? Can we GO?" I gave him the mom's evil eye and told him to not even start (mental note: Next time I make a trip to GameStop for him...do the same thing to him).
So, we get back in the car and he says "well, can we at least go to Burger King and get an icee? (they have them for $1 now). Guess where BK is? Over by the bank. (eyes rolling). So I said yes, and off we went.
When we got there, he asked if we were getting lunch, too. I relented. Ordered a bunch of burgers and some fries to take home, and then said "and 3 cherry icees". "I'm sorry, our icee machine is not working."
WHAT?
Um...Patrick, the icee machine is not working. (CRINGE)
WHAT??? , Patrick screamed . "Man, this day has just been a complete WASTE."
OH jeez....what else can go wrong for him? :)
So, being the GREAT mom I am, I drove by 7-11 on the way home and got the slurpees there. And being the GREAT mom I am...I remind him when we got home "the next time you say I never do anything for you, you just remember that I drove to THREE different places today to get you a slurpee. " (halo smiley here)

Mom turns 29 again today! She told Travis she had plans for her birthday, so I did not take the kiddos over there tonight. Worked all day...
Neighbor's son, Dalton, had a party tonight...they rented a bounce house for the backyard. Pat went to the party. He did not spend the night (it was a slumber party) but came home around midnight...and went back over as soon as he got up Fri. a.m. (before the kids were even awake next door! ).

Walked this a.m. When I got out there, I saw 2 squirrels. Then I saw 2 more, and in all, about 8. They all saw me and took off. It was a squirrel convention. In my back yard. Who knew? Then on my next lap, something smaller than a squirrel took off across the field into the brush pile in the center of the yard. It finally dawned on me it was a rat. It was about an 8 inch long rat. Yuck. That brush pile needs to come down. Who knew there was so much nature in my backyard when I was not looking? :)
pretty uneventful day... I was afraid this project would confirm the fact that my life is boring....I was right...and only half way through!!

Had Patrick clean gerbil cage today. It's a chore that he abhors....and I have to tell him a week in advance and then every day for a week to do it and then I have to threaten his life. or tell him he can't do something he wants to do until it is done. Today it was "clean the cage or you can't go to Rosas for dinner with Michael and Preston and then to VBS with them and then spend the night and go first thing in the morning to NRH2O to swim for the day. He did it! Addie and I went with them to eat. Not much else.

Fourteen years ago today we closed on our house. Just think , if we had gotten a 15 year note....oh well. (we have one now...).

Made ribs in the crock pot today...thanks for the idea, Patsy!
Just put some garlic powder on them (and I used a rib rub we have) and stick them in, no water, nothing. I put them on at 8:30 a.m. and at 11:30 I went to check on them and it was not plugged in. (eyes rolling). So, they were not ready until around 8...but still, good!
Boys both went to water park today. Patrick went to VBS with Michael again tonight. Travis went to spend night at Matt's house.

Happy 13th Anniversery to me and Ty! (too bad we forgot about it). Well, I remembered last week and yesterday, but not today until he remembered. We did not celebrate.
I spent a lot of time doing scrapbook stuff. I saw a video on YouTube for paper flowers and tried them and thought they turned out pretty good.

This morning I had to pick up Patrick so he could go with Jake and Pep to see Karate Kid. Then I took Addie over to see Linda at her garage sale - and Donna. From there we went to Big Lots and Tuesday Morning...did not find anything. Went home for her to take a nap, then in the evening, boys went racing and Donna and I went to Hobby Lobby and then to eat.

Happy Birthday Jake!
Patrick went over to Michael's this morning. I took Travis and Addison to Kincaid's for lunch. I'm going to try to take them out to eat on Fridays during the summer to make up for not being able to do much all week. After lunch, Mom called and wanted to take Travis and Addison to Steak N Shake for a shake. She came to drop them off after, but Addison wanted to stay with her and go to the store. She ended up calling a little while later to say she had fallen asleep before they got to the store so she was just going to take her home for a nap and would call later. Anyway, because of lunch, had to work later. Finished just after 6 and Patrick called to see if he could spend the night at Michaels. I said yes. At 6:10, Pep called me. It sounded like she was in a bar and she said "hey, we are back here by the bandstand." I thought she was in a bar and had meant to dial a friend that she was going out with. I asked her what she was talking about and she said "Traildust? Jake's birthday?"
CRAP. I FORGOT.
Had to call Patrick back and tell him he had to come with us...had to go pick up Addie, and had to high tail it out to Arlington in Friday rush hour. About an hour late...
There was a live band and Addison and Jake danced. Addison stayed on the dance floor even when Jake was not out there. She was really cute. I took a video and will attempt to post it but it is real dark and probably filmed sideways.
Came home, got Pat's stuff, and took him back to Michael's, close to 10.

Work again this morning...guess things are getting back on track. It's nice not to work until 10 p.m. :) I even stopped to walk...every morning this week. I'm actually kinda looking forward to it a little now! :)
Patrick had his first indoor soccer game today. Donna and Nathan showed up for the game. Also found out when I got there that Levi Ritchey is on the team and Peyton Murrell (Payton?) . Levi was in Pat's 1st grade class and his Mom is so much fun. Pe(a?)yton was in his class this year and his mom helped me get the pictures for his teacher's scrapbook and works at his school. (they were not at the game today). Anyway, Sue's kids and Margie's kids are on the team. Well, their younger ones. So, it should be a fun season. There are no practices...just show up and play. My kind of sport! :)
After the game, I took the boys (mine and Margie's) to eat at Cici's since it is right there by where the game was. Got home and got Addie ready for bed and went to bed myself.

Yippee..there was work this a.m. Although it has been nice to sleep in, it's also nice to get my work done early for a change. The first hour, I had 400 lines. That's a personal best for me! I've been pushing myself to do an extra 100 lines a day...today I had almost 200 extra.
Made dinner then took the kids for a snowcone at Bedford Snowball.

Turns out glimmer mist is pretty easy to make, so I loaded up Addie and we went to Michaels. When we got there, there was a lady demo'ing the Cricut and Gypsy so I stopped and chatted with her. Then i got what we "needed" and on the way out, talked with her so more. It turns out she was at the convention doing the demo for glimmer mist and I talked to her at that booth yesterday! Small world. Anyway, she invited me to come crop with her some time. I want to because she went through Cricut training for Provocraft so she could demo in stores....so I want to learn what I can from her. Should be fun! She crops with a whole group of women that went through the training. Now maybe I can do something besides just cut letters! :)
anyway, Michaels did not have all the ingredients for the glimmer mist, but I got what they had and will probably have to order the rest online. I looked at a bunch of the tutorials...guess there are a lot of different ways to make it. anyway, should be fun!
Margie called and we ended up going to the waterpark with the kiddos in the afternoon, stayed longer than planned, but had a good time. Addie just walked right into the pool and kept on going until her head went under and then seemed surprised that she could not breathe. She starts swim lessons next week. Should be interesting.

Great American Scrapbook Convention. I decided to go this year. I did not think there was really anything I would want, but I managed to find a few things! :) I was glad I went. I went looking for glimmer mist or something similar, but did not buy any because it's too expensive...per bottle, because of course I want all the colors! I bought an album to do our Austin trip. and a bunch of other stuff! Had a good time. My bag was really getting heavy towards the end because one booth had "fill a pizza box with paper for $20." and a lot of paper fit in there! Paper is heavy! anyway, had a good time. When I got home, the boys were getting ready to go racing. Josh K was in town so he went with them. Addie and I ended up going to Rosa's for dinner and just hanging out. I was going to stay up and crop after she went to sleep, but by the time she went down, I was ready to follow her. It was a long day, but I got out and I really needed that. I did find out you can make your own glimmer mist, so I will check that out on You Tube tomorrow.

Ditto of yesterday...no work in the morning, worked all day and tried to watch kids. Boys are little help. Walked this morning. I'm surprised I'm sticking with that. :)

No work again this a.m. I walked, showered ate, and about the time Addison woke up and wanted to play, the work started coming in. It's going to be a long summer! I'm writing this on June 8, so really don't remember what happened today. I'm getting really behind on the "photo a day" book too...no surprise there.

Wow, June already. Can't believe it! Boys off now. There was no work when I got up so went back to bed...got up a couple of hours later and walked, showered, had breakfast, then went to work. Both boys ended up getting invited to the water park and left me to work with Addison here...but then she ran out of diapers and I had no choice but to take her and go get some. First time I have ever run out of diapers...with all 3 kids! Anyway, we went and got diapers, pull-ups, AND underwear. I bought more than I planned because they were on sale, I had coupons, and they offered a gift card with purchase. I think we are set now.
Worked on and off all day...right up to 10 p.m.
Addison was not feeling too well this evening. She has had a clear runny nose all afternoon, figure it's from the water she swallowed or allergies. She never had a nap either. She climbed up on the couch with Ty for awhile this evening, but woke up and would not go back to sleep, would not take a bottle of milk, and just did not seem to be feeling very good. Hope she is better in the morning.

Happy Memorial Day. Ty and I took the kids to the water park for a couple/few hours today. It's gotten to where the boys are ready to go after only a couple of hours each time we go. They get bored with it. I would have killed for something like that when I was a kid. All we had was the public swimming pool..and we had to walk uphill in the snow both ways to get to it!! :)))
Addison really has fun there, though! She is already riding slides that the boys would not ride until just a couple/few years ago. I guess it takes having a girl to get me a daredevil! Ty did take her on the closed (dark) tube slide though and she did not like it. She does like the open one, though.
Came home and made a catfish dinner, watched the other movie...well, part of it...ended up turning it off before the end and going to bed. 5:30 comes way too early.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all those who have and are serving our country and for our freedom.

Not much going on today. I remember I went to get groceries...and took Patrick to get a game and i rented some movies (New Moon and "The Messenger"). or was that yesterday? I don't remember. I've slept since then! :)

Slept "late" (for me) and did as little as possible today. :) Ty raced tonight. Donna and Addison and I had dinner at Firehouse Subs. I don't remember much about the weekend...I"m writing this on Tuesday (6/1/10). I just know the house is a wreck and still not cleaned up. With Addison home all day it will just get worse (next week). Fun!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! Dropped off Pat, who was going to have his annual signing and T-shirt signing, and the talent show. Then took Travis. He only had 1 test to take. Went and dropped off Addison for her last day too, and then back home to get phone and then back to get Travis. Worked until time to get Pat (11) and then took him to Cici's and to sign up for Indoor soccer this summer with Michael. There are no practices, it's just show up and play. They just put the team together for conditioning, to keep them playing this summer. No practices because those are outdoors and it's too hot. He seems rather excited about it.
Back home to work until time to pick up Addison.
Went back to Mom's tonight for her Quilt meeting. Addie played with Grandpa alot.

Next to last day of school. Patrick had his class party today. I took him to school, then Travis to his school, then dropped Addison off, and then went to Patrick's party. We ended up leaving the party early as Travis got out early. Patrick did not seem to mind any. Got home and went back to work.
Gave Mrs. Jackson her scrapbook from the class that I made. She seemed to like it. I should have taken pictures of it before I gave it to her, but things got in the way....oh, and I'm lazy! Anyway, it was pretty simple, but it was done and hopefully she liked it.
Tomorrow's the last day!
