Friday. Lent. Fish. Long John Silvers for lunch. Catfish Sam's for dinner.

Ty said he had heard of a good place to get catfish in Arlington, so we tried it. It was good, but with tip, over $50. I have been having buyer's remorse lately when we eat out. It was not $50 good. I would rather pay another $10 and go to Abuelo's. The hushpuppies were good...really good. The rolls were pretty good. There were some condiments that Ty and Patrick liked. They would not let us share a meal or we had to pay $5. for all the condiments and hushpuppies. Thus, the $50. They say that is to keep their costs down and still be able to offer the condiments. (cole slaw, tomato relish, beans, lemons, rolls, and hushpuppies) As it was, we came home with 3 full fillets of fish...that we would not have had left over if we had shared a meal. Don't think we will be back. Don't want to discourage anyone else from trying it...I just don't want to spend $50 eating out anymore unless it is REALLY good. A couple of years ago I would not have even blinked. Things have changed. We have more mouths to feed. And less to feed them with.

Today when I went to pick up Addison at Mom's, I picked her up and she pulled my shirt away from me and looked down. My Dad said "What are you looking at?" and Addison said "Not much." We all got a laugh out of that! :)
